One of the best jobs I had in a previous life was in Robertsons Jam factory in Bristol(long gone now a supermarket) We'd get a bounty for trapping them before they'd make their nest. This was to stop them getting trapped in large barrels of Fruit, oranges in particular. The empty barrels still attracted them. When we were camping earlier this year we used orange squash successfully.
i took a printing machine out of there and took it to london, had to bring it down 3 floors on a block & tackle
never do that again ,hard work

Leave the wasps alone, ignore them and they will ignore you.

Mosquitoes however will bite you no matter what.

Wasps eat mosquitoes and so are my best friends(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)

Had one for 5 years many moons ago. Now starting again.
Leave the wasps alone, ignore them and they will ignore you.

Not our wasps.
They would continually buzz in front of your face, land on and wander around your plate of food and crawl along the rim of your glass often falling in your wine or beer.
BUT if I just raised my bug bat after week one they very often beat a hasty retreat.
