Back motorhoming after a 6ish year break!
Hi all

We have given our T5 a facelift and got a new gas strut for the bonnet. It will not move up and down whatsoever, thinking it was faulty we ordered another from a different supplier, this is the same.

Are we missing something?!

Ever since lighting was by Calor gas.
Has is it perhaps been locked in position by the manufacturer for shipping?
Perhaps you have to hold one end of the struct and twist the other to release it.
On what basis/specification did you select the new ones?

Broken most bits now
There should be a load (in N Newtons) stamped on the body of the strut - if you have the old one you could try and see if they have the same value (should be 360N fo the bonnet strut)
