If you are ever in the Surrey area of south east England I would recommend Brookland Motor Museum. This is a general transport museum based within the famous banked racing circuit in Weybridge, amongst other things some displays are in the old restored pits sheds but here you will not only see vintage and classic cars but bikes, both pedal and motor and classic airliners like the VC10 and BAC 111, planes you may have flown on once, some jets and even some old airport trucks, pay a bit extra and you can go in Concorde, that's right the famous airliner that the British hold to their hearts, that's unless you were one of those affected by the noise! Anyway, worth a visit, not only that if you have time next door is the Mercedes museum and experience centre, the museum is free but you can pay to take a ride or drive a merc round one of their tracks.

Newbie, but over 10 years in a campervan
Yes - and also the auctions they hold there are fab. Great day out (avoid eating at the cafe though and bring a packed lunch).

If you decide to pop into Guildford don't bring the Motorhome, Virtually all the car parks (including the Park and Rides) have height barriers. You might get into Ladymead Retail park carpark but there are parking wardens who are very efficient.
Good place to stop for visiting Guildford is the Horsley C&CC site, its a 5 minute walk to Horsley Station. Then 10 minutes on the train.
Things to do in Guildford: Shopping, Visit Norman Castle, Walk up the Cobbled High Street, Riverside Walks, Visit Cathedral. Great walking in the surrounding Surrey Hills.

Or there is a CL at Coxbridge Farm in Farnham, then take the 65 bus direct to Guildford, runs every hour ;-)
