Is it possible to fit Victron battery and solar displays to a van with a Schaudt 119 EBL and a LRM1218 MPPT solar controller?
the battery monitor BMV-700 https://www.victronenergy.com/battery-monitors/bmv-700 looks reasonably straightforward as i guess this goes direct to the leisure battery and should be compatible.

but I’m not sure the MPPT control https://www.victronenergy.com/panel-systems-remote-monitoring/mppt-control be would quite as straightforward as it would presumably connect to the solar controller.
Does anyone have ideas whether the Victron MPPT control display is compatible with the Schaudt LRM1218 solar controller? I know Schaudt do their own solar controller display - LT320 http://order.phaesun.com/index.php/control-panel-schaudt-lt-320-solar.html
would this be a better idea? (but for aesthetic reasons, the matched pair of Victron displays would be nicer! :) )
Cheers

The Victron display connects directly to the battery via a shunt and will work completely independently of of the ELB and will not cause any problems.
The Victron Mppt control is meant for use with the Victron regulator, I don't see why you would need it with the LRM1218.

Take a look at the votronic MPPT Duo regulator and Display
Far cheaper than the Schaudt and possibly better.
I have an EBL119 and will be going for a Votronic Duo MPPT in spring when I fit my panel

I’ve seen the displays elsewhere - Is the Mppt plug and play with the EBL? http://votronic.de/index.php/en/pro...trollers/standard-version-mpp/mpp-250-duo-dig (looks like it might be from the blurb)

I do not think you need both. We have the Victron BMV 700 along with 250W solar and an LRM1218. The Victron tells us the net amps going in or out of the battery at any time as well as voltage and what state the batteries are in. That is all you really need isn't it. No point in having something that tells you what the solar is producing if you don't know what the rest of the motorhome is consuming and has consumed.

On the EBL 99 and 119 it doesn't need it as it has no LCD display. I have contacted Schaut and know this is correct.
All you will gain by passing through the EBL is the built in fuses, other than that its pretty much straight through to the batteries.
