Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
If the bloke from KTM did not think Charley and Ewan would not get far on one of their bikes, who am I to argue ? :)
That must rank as the biggest PR blunder in motorcycling..

I was thinking of the 890 adventure, you being of a certain age. šŸ˜œ
Oh and they wanted them for nothing with full backup.

There was also the issue that the representative from KTM didn't think the journey was possible.

BMW had no such worries, and the outcome was awesome for them.

Iā€™d rather have my KTMā€™s than a BMW for my type of riding, the street Beemers are boring.

Way to heavy for me nowadays I am afraid ( and too tall to be safe when I stop

I had an FZ6, a Versys and a R1200GS. The Fazer was by far the hardest to walk about. It might have been 50kg lighter than the GS, but the weight was high and awkward. Might have been because I'm a skinny shortarse though. šŸ˜
Oddly enough I find it easy to shift about. and the one that I bought has been lowered a little too
For me, so far, it is the perfect bike :)

You go from an S1000rr to a Superduke and tell me what you prefer.
As a one time IAM motorcycle observer, I have followed riders on all types of bikes.

Good riders can make good progress regardless of what bike they ride.

Absolutely correct and my friend was an IAM trained rider, for some strange reason he couldnā€™t see by his BMW but loved riding my KTM. šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø
