Just been to have our two dogs sorted out for the return trip home. Can thoroughly recommend Dr Patrick, he was very good with our dogs and with us. He used our wormers which was an added bonus. Dr Patrick speaks excellent English and so does his receptionist. This is our first trip to France with the dogs and we were so pleased that this went so smoothly. Phoning to make the appointment and getting passports sorted was so much easier than we expected, using this Vet. Thanks also to the Funsters who gave us Dr Patrick's info.

How far in advance did you make the appointment please and what was the cost.
Did you already have worming tablets with you, presumably from your UK vet?

Made the appointment a week ago and had tablets from our own vet. It was 46.20 euros for two dogs. We stayed on the Aire and it's about 20min walk to vet. There is a Carrefour where you could park if you didn't want to walk so far. Met another English couple staying on the Aire who also use Dr Patrick when they visit France

Thank you very much. We'd stayed on the Aire some years ago quite a few times but it had been rumoured that it had shut but in fairness, we tend to go to Eastern France but the last few days in Northern France like Le Crotoy or Fort Mahon etc for a little change so to go to Forges wouldn't be a problem.

We met an English couple who use the Aire a lot and they said the campsite opposite now runs the Aire. It's very nice with a big grass area alongside and lovely shrubs. A young lad from the campsite collects the money (8 euros). He's a nice young man. We asked for directions to the vet and he offered to walk up with us.

Yes it was/is a very good Aire complete with EHU and a lot of overnighters (French) disappear around 07.30/08.00 so it's before they come to collect.

If you hold down the alt key and type 0176 on the numbers pad on a windows computer it will display the degree symbol ° .
If you google alt codes it will also show you numerous other symbols. It will also give you info on how to get them on other systems.
