Our is also called 'The Van' but, @JJ, if we had a Hymer we would call it Herman ................. Herman the German.

Well I always called my cars 'Bessie' so when we had a Bessacar it was fairly obvous.

We don't have a particular name for our latest one, just the same as Stroppy Bird really - though I did suggest we ought to call it 'Pontius' .......

"Jessie", grandmother, aunt and sister called Jessie. She is female as all good ships are, my Jessies would all have taken good care of me so when we sail off into the sun she has to be "Jessie" and will surely look after us,
especially after all the work and money I have spent on her :)

The old VW was 'the bus'. The current vehicle is 'the van'. We can't cope with too many syllables.

For some reason I always associate the name Hymer with a middle-aged American man. I also imagine McLouis and Elnagh as an Irish couple. Laika and Adria are obviously driven by Russian spies, Dethleffs are driven by Dutch people, and Romahome are owned exclusively by gypsies. Burstners are packed too full, and Hobby owners don't take MH ownership very seriously.

Ours just had to be 'Addie' (its an Adria) to carry on our tradition of name unoriginality - had cats called Blackie and Kitty and hamsters Goldie and Hammie. :xdoh:
