Just got a baird 100w flexi panel. I am using and mounting a watt meter (ebay) with the panel and have noticed the voltage is moving about constantly between 14-22 volts even on a constant sunlight and the panel is stationary without shadow. Is this normal ? Thanks for any advice.

Way too high. Ours cycles 13.6 to 14V constantly when charged.

Is it meter user error or a serious fault ?

Are you measuring the panel not the battery ?

The watt meter is directly measuring the panel output ! Not the battery So maybe thats ok then ?

Oops, missed that, it's a bit unusual. Yes, sounds fine. 20V when off load and 14V when it's feeding the battery.

If you are measuring volts, you must be using a volt meter. Are you able to switch the meter between volts and Watts?

It measures both volts and watts plus a couple of other things at the same time. But the values are moving about a lot.
