We were out in the van a couple of weeks ago driving down cobbled streets in France. I remembered hearing a bang from underneath and had a good look when we stopped later. Couldn't see anything amiss at the time.
I just had another clamber underneath and found a small chunk missing from the ply underfloor. It's about the size of a 2c piece and goes in 6 or 7 mm
I don't know if this was the result of the previous bang we heard but it has left exposed wood. The underside is coated with a thin black ( I assume some sort of waterproof sealant) paint. Is there anything recommended to safely seal the bare wood with or can I use any old wood seal?
