Tv via iphone (1 Viewer)

Hi guys, I want to connect my iPhone to the tv as a backup in case I am parked in an area where I cannot get a satellite signal. Does anybody use this system and if so, what type of cable do I need.

Do you mean when you create a hot spot to tether item's to your phone.

We have an ipad with Sky Go and other TV apps on and use a VPN. Tether the ipad to iphone hotspot.
A Firestick might be an option that would work but I haven’t tried it.
Not sure that you could directly use a cable from iphone to TV.

I use a firestick off the iPhone, just remember to turn down the picture quality

You could if the TV has built in cast function

Better to use the phone as a hotspot and connect to the TV via wifi, if TV doesn't have wifi use a Firestick or similar.
Cable direct from an ip phone to TV is iffy even with a genuine Apple cable and will cost as much as a Firestick or more.
