As has already bee mentioned turn the mains supply to the boiler off leave 5 mniutes ( this resets the overheat trip ) and then try again, if still no joy, and all fuses are ok and it hasn't tripped the mcb in the consumer unit it sounds as though the 240v element has gone, you can normally remove the element with the boiler in situ , there are a couple of different elements depending on model, normally just have to empty the boiler, gain access to the element through the cardboard case just below the hot outlet by folding back the cardboard tabs, there are two little nuts holding the element in place, sometimes there is a separate temperature sensor with another couple of nuts holding it in place (depends on model) once you have all the nuts off the element (and sensor) should just pull out of its housing and can be disconnected etc DISCONNECT MAINS SUPPLY OFF BEFORE STARTING.
Thanks everyone. Didn't know about the glass fuse so will take a look. It worked at the start of last season but failed round about September and as it works on gas only just getting round to sorting it out. Hope it not the element, that will be a huge challenge for me and most likely end up costing a bomb. Thats the only problem with motorhoming on your own, DIY skills poor so everything costs a huge amount. Really love it though
The only glass fuse I have seen on these is on the circuit board and is more to do with the 12v / gas electronics, the 240v element is normally wired direct to a switch or fused spur, believe me it is pretty easy to change the element as long as you can get around the boiler easy enough, there are plenty of exploded diagrams on the Truma website, the later 850 element is around £70, earlier lower wattage ones are about the same, a good source for spare parts etc
