Just bought used Lance 1575 with Truma Combi eco plus. Never used this combo heat/boiler before. When running just the boiler alone on gas only the unit itself gets hot. Very hot at base of exhaust tube (cannot touch) and hot on top left side above the exhaust fan. Is this normal operation? Thanks!

It pushes out hot water. I initially thought it wasn’t getting enough water but after waiting about 45 minutes it finally did produce steaming hot water. How would I know if it’s not filling all the way? And what would cause that issue?

Can't remember ;)
Turn on hot water tap and make sure it is not air locked -- I see on another thread you have a problem with your water pump ? That could be a good place to start 😉

60’c is the normal max water on the combi and that is not steaming hot!
As has been suggested air in the system or perhaps a thermostat problem.

I ran the water over thermometer and it read 128F so about 55C . I guess that sounds about right then? I was running it off the city water line not the water pump. Just to be clear though , nothing on the unit itself should be hot to touch?
