If you look at Google maps enter Cabarceno Zoo and you will see a parking area marked Parking Area Caravana by a small lake - a pleasant enough overnight stop but last time I was there the black waste dump had been closed and no fresh or grey water facilities.

Do NOT be tempted to go off that route in Andalusia.

The road North from West of that route is rough as rats.
I wonder how I know?

Don't know how long you have to do the trip and we were heading for Bilbao but we did main towns - Gib, Cadiz, Jerez, Seville, Cordoba, Toledo, Madrid, Valladolid, Burgos and a few smaller towns in between, mostly couple of nights at each with a few overnighters

if you are anywhere near Madrid - you have to go to Segovia - free aire at the bullring with a lovely stroll into the town.
Google “ Segovia” !!!

There last night, Easter week so predictably full to bursting and many very late arrivals squeezing in. Still a nice stop though 😊 waste dump and tap etc still all closed off.

We’re at the Camperstop at Somo (30mins from Santander ferry). 11Euro. Spent 2 days here, lovely beach resort town, lots of cafes/restaurants

As above. We do it annually.

Don’t do all of the towns and cities on one trip if you think that you will be down this way again.
All are well worth visiting and most deserve a bit of time to explore fully, as does the countryside around.
