Towing a Car (1 Viewer)

Jim,
Just as a matter of interest I am thinking of doing the same as Ian . However I seem to think that you can't tow a smart car on an a frame as they are automatic. Do you know if this is correct?

You most definitely can tow a smart on an A frame - we do and have done for years. Just remember not to leave it in gear!!!! Despite all the doom and gloom remarks on certain forums about Smarts and A frames, take it from a Smart owner that they are nonsense - if you leave the gearshift in reverse or any other gear, then of course you will kill the box if towing on an A frame. Tow it in N and there will be no problems.
