Wow, I did not expect that level of response so fast! Thank you everyone. I can now go back to the lady at the racecourse and confirm our booking as definite They are very trusting and do not require a deposit so I want to play fair with them.

Because we are booking so far ahead of time I am sure people will drop out as life happens - but it is a big field so if there are more people want to come than I have said I think we will be okay for a few extra vans.

More details of venue, directions, things to do nearby and ideas for entertainment and the like as time goes on.

If (big IF) I can organise it would there be enough takers for a hog roast meal ? A local farmer has an outside catering unit and if people are interested I will ask if she can bring it to the rally. (my spell checker wants to replace organise with orgasm...........)
