If you don't mind me asking which one from where at what price please? My Dad has been looking around for one of these for ages so might be able to tempt him...

Still a newbie
I got four of these From Amazon for just over a quid and replaced the fittings of the 3 strip lights in the Tardis. Very bright and use so much less power.

Can I ask did you find any heat issues with these. I fitted a couple of them. They burnt the adhesive off the back of them.you could not touch them because they got so hot

Not so far but I have only run them for about 30 minutes max at any time so far.

Won't be in the van for a fortnight but will let you know if this happens.

Hymie.

CEM DT 128 non invasive Moisture meter. Think there may be a problem though.... testing the plastered house wall, get a reading of 22%, which is "dry" according to their table. Using non invasive Protimeter Aquant in the same place, reading is 13.2%. Kamasa pin type shows 12%. Can't check the van at the moment - it's in having some work done. Any ideas anybody? Thanks.

Hmm something a bit odd there !
I bought 12 of them for various jobs both in the van and in the garden ( replaced the incandescent bulbs with these )
That was at the start of summer.. Not a single issue with any of them as yet ( and all the garden lights are on from sundown to 00:30 am every single day )

One of them Huawei MiFi thingys and a square antenna for it from my friends at Amazon (a snip of a price compared to the ready made kits you can get)

Seems to work really well when tested at home, field testing (literally!!) to follow!

Good choice. I am buying four on Tuesday when I finish my contract in Bradistan.
This will upgrade me to 2 x 500ah banks and I'll have two Elecsol AGM's for sale, try for £50 each

And will you be calling in at a weighbridge near home? ;)

Cheers,

Jock. ;)
2 out 4 in will only add 55kg including cabling. I have 180kg surplus up front with everything full.
The Elecsols were never best suited for B2B as the recommended maximum charge rate was 30 amps. The newer 60 amp B2B will serve the 500ah bank for habitation use and enough capacity to comfortably supply a compressor fridge if I swap it out. The rear solar bank will continue to supply the inverter.
The 25 amp CTEK charger I bought will be transferable between banks for maintenance charges.
