You are prewarned! The first in a series.

Today I bought a pair of Bootlaces.
Will you be getting knotted, or hoping for a bit of bondage?

How disciplined are you Mel! One inch square a day?
Once opened wouldn’t last that long here!,
Haven't even got through the first bar yet ... both absolutely full of colds :censored: so not felt like any choccy bits etc ... no point in wasting it anyway with my tastebuds being totally stuffed at the mo either! :(

View attachment 274344 I bought a living flame inset electric fire, removed our existing gas fire and removed the flue pipe from roof and roof space.
Patched the hole in the roof felt and replaced 2 roof tiles, job took me around 4 hours as I had to alter the fire place opening.
Last night I ached from every muscle and joint as I’d done non of this type of work since retiring 5 1/2 years ago.

John.

Was that wise knowing your track record with roofs and lofts :)

Took back the camera case Maureen bought me to exchange for one big enough for the kit..
I had no idea what she had paid but when I took in to the shop I finally looked at the receipt.
Bastards had over charged Maur by 300%
Gets better.. the guy had not filled out the receipt properly....... draw your own conclusions
Came home with a hard case that was perfect and correctly priced

So if you are in Cambridge area and go to a camera shop called Campkins on Kings Parade, be careful !

Further.. Had a phone call from Campkins today..
Denied mis-selling Maureen the bag .. denied they said they would take it back if wrong, more or less called Maureen a fool and a liar.. tried to quote sale of goods act and THEIR Ts & Cs .. He thought their sale conditions superseded the law of the land
To expedite matters I had no choice but to accept a credit note.. A complete waste of time as it costs a small fortune for me to visit the shop...
Mind you, I do know quite a lot about distance selling... and he did at least say they would do stuff post free for me, AND they would match any official UK dealer price onn anything they sell.... So I may use them for a new DJI Mavik... I have found stuff hundreds of pounds less than they sell for...

But again I would reiterate my warning.... I am not saying do not buy from Campkins in Cambridge, I am saying do exercise a strong 'caveat emptor' approach

Another note! 13 reviews and the only low score is from a numpty complaining it won't fully boil a kettle. I responded to the review that the spec clearly states 10 amp max! which roughly equates to 2.3kw max so I assume they were using a 3kw kettle. This at least establishes that the safety overload protection is functional.

Also avoid the square shaped units as they don't fit correctly with switched sockets

I’ve ordered a pair of these tonight on your say so, I hope there all right:xsmile:

Happy new year all :xThumb:

I now have added Jacs to the home location so she can now control all our devices from her phone too
Currently just two devices but this will soon be 6 of more

@Techno I bought a pair of these and successfully added one, I downloaded the app on my iPad to control the unit then I downloaded the app on my iPhone and whilst trying to load the device I had to press the reset button to do so it wiped the device off my iPad, ie I can’t have two iPhones/pads to access the smart socket, is this correct Help!

Be interested to know how you get on with that. Thinking of one for myself.
I love the DJI Spark, but I wanted the 3rd gimbal and the slightly better battery life.
I have flown a Mavic Pro and it was just the same as the Spark, more or less flew its self.
The camera is better than the spark too ( but not by much )...
The Mavic Air has slightly shorter flight time than the pro but it has better videography settings, and the Air Flymore kit comes with 3 batteries instead of two

I bought the Mavic Pro Zoom, love it, now I won’t reverse it into mountains.
Anyone want a Mavic Pro full kit with bag and 3 batteries?

I was flying it backwards (out of eyesight) just lining up a shot on Winnats Pass to get the whole road in view, it was going very slowly when I saw the view of grass and shrubs on the screen, good job my grandson was with me, utilised him as a mountain goat doing a search and rescue mission..

Jacs and I both have control from our phones

Go to home management and select yourself

If using email addresses there can be quite a delay
Make sure all devices are connected to your 2G WiFi
