Thin Strip Of Plastic Edging Under Bed In Swift Escape 622 (1 Viewer)

Any Escape owners know what this is for? when the bed is lifted for access to the storage lockers, it's there, ours is broken.

errrrr it's edging strip .. to finish off the edge..

maybe I'm missing something... what other purpose could it have ?

My wife's side of the bed, she reckons it may be a support and now it's broken she's lying on a slope. Having looked at it's too flimsy to support anything. But she wants it fixed? thanks Anyway Jim lol
