Hi Jim I thought with 5 big holes in it already, a gland wouldn't do much.

gland has two purposes, to make water tight (maybe) but mainly to prevent chaffing of through cable.

Hi chris, listening to the clunk as the tranny powers up I think so, but only time will tell. I left the gland rubbers out to aid ventilation as the thermistor gets damm hot.
