I'm an oldbie MH number 10
I am hoping to stop here on Friday night on my way to the Mull of Kintyre for my running exploits on the Sunday. Need somewhere really where I can sleep ultra legal and with no chance of being awoken by a knock at 0300 (running's not fun when your knacked). Wonder if any of you have used this place and can recommend it to me?

Regards
Haggers.

Hi Paul
theres a sleepyspot we use quite often, south side of Cairnbaan by the side of Crinan Canal on the B841, N56.03'37.88" W 5.28'32.52" .
Good luck for the run.

HI Paul
Firstly you could try going into Abington just after the sharp bend into the village there is a small bank (RBS) on your right turn in here and you will find a small carpark next to the river with a toilet block been a cpl of years so dont know for sure if its still ok but ideal location and nice walking if you have dog with you.

If you come of the m74 heading for redmoss about a mile or so on your left hand side is a bit of spare ground you can just about hide the mh from the road which is quite at night anyway. Stayed here last year when coming home from up north and needed a sleep.

Gerry

P.S. Good luck with the run

Shame we are so far South of your stop Paul, you could have stopped on our driveway.

Good luck with your run, and what a great place to go for a run. :thumb:
