I have a hymer with a 2.5td fiat engine vintage 1993 can anyone tell me where the temperature gauge sender unit is on the engine
I have checked as far as i can see as well as the obvious places but to no avail

i remember a thread about this a while back....but it may have been a different engine.
still worth a look:thumb:

possibly left hand side of block (from the front) just below the thermostat housing.

found it....apologies for the picture size. :Doh:

this is a '90 2.5 engine but probably the same as yours.

the stub with the short hose on the triangular plate next to the manifold (circled) is in the wrong place...this is the temp sender hole.

as you look at the engine the temp. sender is behind the top engine mount on the left ,a pain to get to,i think you have to support the engine and remove the mount off the chassis to get to it,i changed ours a few years ago and then found that the fault was in the circuit board on the dash unit.

Thanks for the information eric 83 I had a cam belt fitted a couple of weeks ago
and now wonder if the lead was disturbed then
I will be looking into this in the morning
