    Here =
Major Security alert affects all of your PCs - read this and follow

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nearly all Web Browsers PC, Linux or Mac use Java, and Hackers have figured out how to exploit Java to install malicious software enabling them to commit crimes ranging from identity theft to making an infected computer part of an ad-hoc network of computers that can be used to attack websites. This is a very serious threat and I recommend that you disable Java until Oracle sort the problem out. Instructions here: How to Unplug Java from the Browser — Krebs on Security
If you have problems disabling Java, let me know and I'll try to help.

    Quote:
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security urged computer users to disable Oracle Corp's Java software, amplifying security experts' prior warnings to hundreds of millions of consumers and businesses that use it to surf the Web.

On this occasion it is actually TRUE!!!!!!

I was going to post when this first came up but it was on every news site and forum I had seen so thought everyone would be aware of it.

It is a definite security risk so serious that google and mozilla have disabled java remotely in current browsers and marked them as a security risk...

    Disable it ASAP...

By turning java off what can I expect not to work

On a I pad or mac / M soft driven puter or tablet

Me not being a genius but with access to 3 out of 4

Just found out smillers is one thing but on the right they show and move
But don't join in with my posting

sorry I can't advise specifically. You are not disabling JAVA full stop you are just disabling the plug in for browsers. So if you are using any Java software on your computer it should still work.

Only applications that run in your web browser and require java will stop working.

It's your choice, loose a game or app or two or get hacked:cry:

The exploit is being spread by many means including advert networks. So now would be a good time to get ad blockers installed as well.
