As above you DO NOT want a regulator just the Jumbo adaptor..
The thread is the same as a UK Butane clip on adaptor so you can use the same hose /pigtial..
    I DO..

    Greetings,

Just for clarity, the pigtail that fits the Spanish Jumbo Adaptor (for Spanish, say adaptador) you require the same pigtail that fits a UK 4.5kgs Butane bottle .

It's butane.. No hassle just buy a Butane pigtail and the jumbo adaptor.. Change the pigtail at the regulator...

The french gas from Intermarche has a 21.8l LH thread the same as used by the 4.5kg Calor butane. :thumb: [HI]Take the pigtail with you [/HI]which has the standard connection at the fixed regulator.
Last year I paid €19.90 for the 10kg butane bottle and €1 deposit, so I bought another !!
There are Intermarche everywhere so no worries about running out. Head over running on the Calor bottle then swap.
I spent weeks trying to research and agonised over the right decision. Luckily I had it right and breathed a sigh of relief, the wife doesn't like a cold shower and a warm fridge!
I am currently still burning French gas, will switch soon before I run out so I can arrive in France with some to get me started.

Hi when in Portugal i had a Butane regulator but got hold of a full Propane Rapsol bottle from one of the delivery drivers, when i tryed the Butane regulator on it it would not release the gas? so scrounged a Propane reg they look the same apart from it says Butane on it.
That worked fine so looked inside and the pin seemed shorter on the Butane one.
    Laurie.

but its the same 35mm clip on . the part i recommended wasnt a reg . only an adaptor . you can then use the bulkhead reg.
even the old uk regs will handle either gas . i know i do it .
i dont have a bulkhead i adapt usually to the old uk butane thread. saves changing reg if swapping bottles.
