Like so many of us I was shocked when my Comfort Insurance renewal arrived, an increase of 70%.

Using a comparison website I found an insurer much more competitive but I'd not come across them before, did some checks and they get good reviews. Checked out their website which has their own quotation facility which reduced the premium even more.

I rang them to start cover, phone answered immediately, the agent checked all my details and started my policy from renewal. He then asked if I'd read about the required tracker, I told him I didn't have a tracker and expected cover to be declined. He then went on to explain I didn't need one as the premium included a tracker and the first years subscription of £72 in the price.

Today the tracker arrived, really easy to set up and register which has to be done within 5 days of receipt.

The broker is PBIS, Peter Best Insurance Services, and the insurer is Highway who are part of LV. The policy does carry a £400 excess slightly higher than Comforts £300 but as I've saved over £200 and now have a tracker I'm more than happy.

Just to say that I've no connection at all to PBIS other than being a client.

We found Highway had a limit of £600 for windscreen and as our is an A Class and it costs around £3260 to replace no good for us

go direct to LV, make sure they know its a MH and list all the extras and state its current value.

Windscreen cover is to the value of the insured vehicle.

We had our renewal letter from. LV for our motorhome and car with the Boundless and multi discount
Was going to be up from £388.58 to £422.88 for the car, up from £353.55 to £500.52 for the van
Phoned them up stating I could get the car online with LV for £406 asked I thought you had to give old customers the same price as new ones they brought the car down to £406 and the van to £475.16

2016 Audi A4 S Line 4000 miles an 2019 A class Burstner 6000 miles. So check your renewals and for A class its unlimited windscreen to the value of the van as stated.

Lv renewal arrived today , was 322 last year upto 360 this year, think I will stick with that for this year after reading how much insurance is increasing.

Just did a quote with LV nearly fell off my chair £337 to add van to car in multi until October BUT stand alone one £976 for the year so you people who have cheap quotes best stick with them I will be staying with Comfort.

I'm have been organising my car insurance, due the end of the month, I do not understand, at about 8pm on Saturday evening got a quote for £180, down £43 on last year, messed up the payment went through the process again new price £173. This is 24days prior to renewal date why shouldit be up to 70% higher much closer to the date.

A lot of companies are now quoting in what they call "real time". , I take a screen shot of any quote along with the reference number, most companies will then honour that quote
