There seem to be two types of 'intelligent' solar controllers PMW (Pulse Modulation Wide Frequency) and MPPT (Maximum power point tracking)

Both claim to give the best output/charging. Anyone any knowledge of whether one is better than the other ?

In practice a PMW controller of 30A with an LCD display is much the same price as an MPPT one without the LCD. If the MPPT one is much better then worth getting. The display is really only to check its actually doing what it should be.
