    I believe Captain Dunn was polio victim and needed a wheelchair.

    Whilst the idea of "Joy Butty" is somewhat appealing, it is indeed true that Captain Dunn was wheelchair bound after his polio. When I saw this come up for auction, I looked up the details and there are photographs of him in his wheelchair beside the MH. This MH also used to be parked outside one of the dealers in Poole for many years; I'm surprised it remains in such good condition - no water ingress problems perhaps!!
