A few years ago we had planned to stop at the Huntingdon Race course, it is basically a field with no facilities. We didn't stop in the end as we had a small caravan and Tracey was hoping for at least some basic facilities.

Please don't ask where we stopped at in the end as we just drove round until we found a site.

There is a site (sorry dont know the name) on the way in to Hinchingbrooke Hospital. Area is nice - not stayed at the site itself, but might be worth a look or pop in if you are in the area

I would have said this site: www.quietwaterscaravanpark.co.uk/ as i know the areaand it is very nice. Unfortunately it may be shut. The National Trust / Caravan Club have a site at Houghton Mill, very popular.... may also be shut right now. Another place is this (Godmanchester is nice) : www.huntingdonboathaven.co.uk/...... but ditto, not sure about opening times. Wyton Lakes IS shut.

Sorry, not a great help, but I tried. Jane

boathaven

Hi
We have stayed at the one at Godmancheter Boathaven, and it is lovely, but a word of warning, it is noisy. Very busy A road runs above it. but you do get kinda used to the noise after a while. It is right along the river, idylic on a sunny day.
