Site around Florence and Tuscany area (1 Viewer)

Can anyone recommend a site around Florence with easy transport into the the city , also the country side of Florence heading back up the country . Cheers

We were in Florence a few days ago and stayed at Camping Firenze.
Very clean and friendly site with a shop restaurant and a large swimming pool.
They have a shuttle bus to take you into the town or you can walk along the river but it is a few miles.

I would not go back there as the site roads are very small and most of the pitches are small, ok if you have a PVC though..

Personally we were disappointed with Florence, we went years ago for a half day stop on a cruise and thought we would go back as there was more to see, seems there wasn’t and it was rammed with people and traffic.

After coming from Venice that early morning was very nice to walk around this was a bit differen.

Camping Villad Il Poggetto is a nice countryside site just South of Florence. The bus stop to Florence is just outside the site. €22 with Acsi.
