Hi ,, I'm thinking of fitting a tow bar and scooter rack to a Roller Team 600 2009 on a Transit to carry a 125cc scooter <125kgs in weight
Has anyone fitted one to a similar vehicle
I've talked to a couple of manufactures and they say there is no issues with fitting one to this vehicle. But I have concerns of the distance from the main Transit legs to the rear of the motorhome , the roller team extensions do not look man enough to take any excessive weight so looks like all the weight will be taken by the Transit legs.
The weight on the van should not be a issue as it has payload of >600kgs and there is only 2 of us using the van and we travel light
I could go down the trailer route , and I already have a bike trailer but I'm thinking of storage on site , getting on aires with restricted space and the dreaded reversing on country roads etc.
I have been looking at the ridged trailers with the castor wheels, but again I not sure of the engineering integrity , and legality , and price (£1200).
Any help or advice would be gratefully received
