The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 comes with access to both Play Store and Samsung Apps. Hundreds available from both sources, both free and at a cost.

I know, the problem is teh sheer volume of them and I have downloaded some and they are poor, some are great. Just wondered which ones users had found to be good..

I was disappointed with Opera Mini browser as it is great on my phone but didn't work at all well on the Tab. Neither did Firefox so I went back to the default browser. I found Google Search easier to use from a widget rather than in the browser.

I like Google Maps & Navigation (including Street View) work OK as do Polaris Office and Documents to Go.

Skype shows up stained glass windows very well, Amazon Kindle works fine though the screen isn't as good in bright sun as the real Kindle device. AVG Antivirus seems to work OK, as do Bluetooth File Transfer and ConvertPad.

Camscanner PDF Creator was very disappointing. Couldn't get it to work at all.

I have BBC News and The Independent on home screen widgets.

After a recommendation from StitchUp I have installed this....fantastic..if you like your good lady to know where you are at all times. Great real time tracking with road speed indication or have someone keep a eye on you while you are walking the welsh mountains. Great FREE app......

    I've just clarified my misunderstanding.

Dave has the Samsung Galaxy II phone - so you're probably right Brian  - whilst Jill and I have Samsung Galaxy Tab2 7.0 tablets (which are, of course, so tomorrow ).
