The old walled city at Saint Malo is lovely, we intended to stay at Camping d'Alet in mid June, but on arrival found it to be closed until end of June (I think). We then ended up at Aire des ilots which wasn't too bad - close to a beach, good bus service to the old quarter right outside the site, takeaway pizza van open in the evenings.

    Great info thanks @Techno100.

Any idea how busy the Aires are in August? we are going back to France and haven't booked anything yet. Must admit we want some nice weather and if we can't get it in the North we are willing to drive south, but Brittany looks beautiful quite like Cornwall In places?
