roof holes

    The previous owner of my hymer 694 had a huge tv satelite dish which i dont want
    a, its ugly and b, it weighs a ton
    the problem is if i take it off i am left with 4 holes in the roof as its secured with 4 bolts through the roof
    what,please, is the best way of filing/ covering up the holes?

    put the bolts back through but add a large washer to each and some bedding mastic tape. this will allow for the movement of the roof

    stick a hose pipe into each hole from the inside then run all four pipes into your fresh water tank :thumb:

    When I did a similiar thing I used a flexible floor tile and stuck it down with Sikaflex.

    Personaly I would fill holes with sikaflex type stuff then stick a ali plate over it all :thumb: foarming a double seal and paint

    dont forget that a roof box with its load may effect the suspension, as a weight up high has more effect than down low. otherwise it looks like a fun accessory being a boat too

    I hadn't thought of that.
    is there an Einsteinian way of working out height x weight etc as it may affect overall vehicle weight aswel !!!
