We were thinking about having a peep at this around 19th of September possibly at St Goar. The question is has anybody been and does in get that busy on the sites that we should book. The timing suits us as we will be on our way back from the Czech Republic.

A fantastic weekend and yes it does get busy. I have stayed on the air at Bacharach and taken the boat trip down the Rhine to St Goar for the firework display. Get there a few days before and you should be OK.

We went a few years ago, as Snowbird has said it is a spectacular display and it does get very busy.
You should aim to get there and pitched up at least three days in advance.

We went to the Rhine in Flames celebrations a few years ago. Very popular, and very busy. You will need to book, the sites are chocker-block. Great time, particularly if you are able to watch from on board a pleasure boat. Again, you will need to book in advance.
Check it all out on Google, you will see there are different celebrations in different villages along the Rhine. Hope that helps.
