I know a great deal of motorhomers swear by using washing liquid/tabs but I'm afraid I wasn't convinced. We gave it a try last summer and I hated emptying the cassette! Even using fragranced bio liquid didn't help. Needless to say I went back to using Thetford sachets. Not the cheapest option but in my opinion the best. The loo has to be dealt with so I'd rather pay a little more and at least have a more pleasant experience!
Use BIO washing machine liquid. One cap for 'number ones', two caps for 'number 2s'. It wont work if you use non-bio.
Bio..
Non bio doesn't do the job

So what do you use in Spain & Portugal? Never found any with 'BIO' on the label down here.
Is there anything with something similar to enzyme ? Just a thought, a don't know.

We never had to buy any outside of the UK. SorrySo what do you use in Spain & Portugal? Never found any with 'BIO' on the label down here.
Bio liquid for us. I'm allergic to something in the elsan and thetford stuff, even the smell of it gives me a migraine.

Dunno if this helps but the green stuff is nothing like the blue stuff, it smells quite nice actually

Perhaps the 'tabs' could be used as suppositories thereby bypassing the whole dose issue and dealing with the matter at source
