On and off 1995
I live in Spain and my friend went near them and got a nasty rash over most of his body and his dog has lost part of his tongue and had a vets bill of nearly 200 Euro, he was lucky many dogs die. Stay well clear of the little blighters!!!!!

They have them in Portugal as well JJ as said once they leave the nests in the trees and come down they are looking for nice soft soil to burrow into untill they become moths

There have been confirmed outbreaks in the south of the uk too in recent years, so not limited to spain portugal and france. Really nasty litle sods that should be avoided at all costs
