Absolute beginners.
Not sure how they'd work on awnings, especially the ones I've seen flipped backwards over the van, having been left out overnight !
The roof installation looked like they we're only stuck down on the ridge profile of the Kingspan sheeting, can't see that surviving a decent storm either 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

To be used as a sun canopy, I would imagine they could be bonded to a backing membrane for added strength. The electrical connections could use a slip ring affair at the end of the canopy roll.
A canopy fliped over the van isn't going to do it any good, with or without panels stuck to it.
Personally, I have the support arms locked into brackets on the side of the van and never leave the canopy out unintended or overnight.

Just imagine if THESE could be incorporated into a wind out awning/sun canopy.
That would be amazing. Technology is moving so quickly so hopefully it will happen one day
