OK, outside socket fitted with a built in timer. Whats the best option. Setting the timer up so that power is on for a few hours during the night to keep the chill off and charge the batts or just leave it on constantly. RCD fitted as well.:Smile:

Mine is hooked up as soon as I get home and stays hooked up until we go away again.

quite safe if you have a modern multi stage charger.

Setting the timer up so that power is on for a few hours during the night

Potentially dangerous to batteries. Our charger does a boost charge every 5 charges, so if yours does you could end up frying it.

Also, a huge proportion of electronic failures occur during power-up, power-down, it's when all surges take place.

Mine has been on 24/7 for the last 6 years.
