Beginners, got Doggy the van - March 2014
Hi
I am traveling in the Algarve since the 15th November, seen very few GB Campervans MH, but many French, German, Dutch, where are all the Brits and mainly all the Funsters?
Will be nice to meet.

I suspect you'll see masses more French once again this winter along the Algarve, as the traditional over-wintering place for a lot of them was Morocco/ North Africa (language, history etc), but I think most won't go there now because of radical muslim terrorism fears.

Where we are there is a reasonable mix of nationalities, there are a few more French and a few less Dutch but much the same as before. On other sites there also seems to be a reasonable mix

We are on a flight holiday from 15th December to 29th, so if you are in QUARTEIRA we'll be there and we usually visit the campsite there just to remember lovely camping holidays there !!!

We're hiding in a corner at Parque do Gale. Immediately in front of us is an 8.9Mt Elegance with a huge bike rack on the back. I reckon the front of the van is in a different time zone to the back.

We went to Quarteira on a flight holiday, but we went to the camp site and it is still open and a couple we met years ago there said it was going to be open until end of year. They were cutting down on maintenance and staff so not as clean as it used to be, but still in a lovely location next to the beach !

Hi there,
We are in Armacao de Pera on the campsite closest to the seafront. (The second one when you are coming in from the N125).
Quite a few brits here.

My mother in law will be there over Christmas with her dog Bonny.
I have put a funsters sticker on the windscreen of her 1994 Autosleeper, so keep a look out for her, she’ll be the one waving her cocktail glass in the air albeit not spilling a drop :beerchug:

Hi - we're going to Turiscampo but thought about coming to Armacao for a few days in early January. Is it a good campsite? Mags
