catching 08.30 LD Lines ferry from Portsmouth would like to know if able to park overnight in dock area or somewhere close thanks

Hi You can drive to southsea near hover port to isle of wight and park on the Clarence Esplamade Quite a few motorhome do over night stop there. Co-ords +50° 47' 3.44", -1° 5' 54.66" link http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=50....1.09899&spn=0.000868,0.002307&z=19&iwloc=near

As you enter the docks you follow the line for the ferries and keep to the left. On the left is a fence and you can overnight there without causing obstruction. You will not be alone.

Alternatively, after the last LD sailing on the evening before your ferry you can stay in the lane but the area by the fence is best.

I think the LD lane is the far right but its easy to get from the fence to the LD line.
