Poppleton Beer festival (2 Viewers)

We are going to the Poppleton beer festival next Saturday near York.
Anyone else going?
Not had chance to go before as not been home, my friends help organise it and have tried to get us to go for ages, so we are going to check it out, there is a Prosecco tent this year which swung it for me.

17th & 18th June. The beer festival is to raise funds for the local football team including the youngsters.
Beer, food, music, kids entertainment.
There is a campsite right opposite Called Cherry Tree Farm, no loos or showers though. We are staying there.
Bus stop right outside the football club goes right into York city center.

I agree - some more notice would have been better. We know Poppleton (and York) very well and would have liked to join in but we are way up north in badachro at the moment - no intention of heading south again for at least a week

Well the beer festival was great, highly recommend. We only ended up going to the Sat night as I was suffering more than I expected after hospital on Wed.
They raised £12,000 for the club on the Sat.
Any ale drinker would love it, I stuck with blonde ales and Prosecco, Nige tried a few darker ales. Great music, food, plenty for the kids too. It will be on again next June bus stop right outside runs from York city center. We stayed at Cherry Tree Farm campsite opposite, nice little site, no showers or loos, but big pitches and mostly hard standing.

Ps got 3 handy plastic pint glasses for mh too, you can swap for a glass one as you leave, but we don't have glasses in mh due to the dogs
