Camping Eden. Just a normal well established site with nice hedge lined pitches. Nice staff. A bit limited right now as they are rebuilding the restaurant but top showers, hot and a proper on/off tap. Showers maketh the site for me. Pretty full, a lot of Germans, so far I have managed not to mention The War. Good WiFi. 50 metres from the shoreline.
After a stopover here years ago it has been on the "to do" list to look closer and so here we are. The place is typical high quality low rise resort, lovely beaches and like a morgue. Apart from the campsite and supermarkets it's locked down. Very peaceful really. Seriously good cycling along the front.
They appear to be allowing MHs on the port car park FOC right now, all pay and display machines are covered and no signs to say no camping.
But The Bonus is the castle. €3.75 for olde fartes and what a place, built by The Templars to last. Two meter thick walls, looks like granite and built on a rocky outcrop in the sea. It's in pristine condition and a joy to walk round with views to die for.
So a nice stop 'till Monday when we hit Benidorm.
