    Why?
Can you imagine being in Portugal in the van, switch your phone on, look at your camera via your phone, and find pond life wrecking your home.
    What next?
Phone the plod, from Iberia? (Don`t forget to make a note of your crime number)
Wonder if the Police can find time to intervene?
Chances are that you could drive home before Police have time to look.
Spend the rest of your break wondering how much they got away with?
Chances are they will nick the camera too.

Phone a neighbour or relative, they intervene and get arrested for infringement of the miscreants HUMAN RIGHTS
Sometimes too much info can be counter useful.

I think they could be something that could ruin your holiday. Imagine feeling you had to log in every moment to check if anyone has pinched the sofa? And imagine the horror if there is a power cut at home?

Just ensure you have good locks, insurance and go off and relax.

My point was I don't want to look at my property when I am away or even want to think about it.

But if you do then as the saying goes fill your boots.

i have one in the lounge where the dogs get left if we need to go out without them. i can log in from my phone, do a visual sweep and zoom in on anything. then if needed phone home and talk to the dogs using the answer phone. works pretty well in practice

we could log in whilst away in the van, but never bother. a neighbour checks the mail and the house and will ring us if needed

One day I phoned my next door neighbour and asked him to store the parcel by the back door.

I can check that the cat feeder is working.

    A bit of fun too.

    Pretty cheap fun.

I posted just that once but the gadget collector in me got the better of me. On balance I'm sure it's better to phone home and get the place boarded up rather than get home and find all the local cats are in there.

I can also ask my home what the temperatures are, another re-assurance when away in the winter.

Mainly because yours was the post that explained what it is. My post was intended to be general. OK I won` t reply to you in future, if it upsets you.
