DFDS are doing a good discount and I found Sept sailings for £82. The disadvantage is it docks at 23.00hrs so I would want park up until about 8am. Is there any ware to rest up by the port (n)(y)

Hi, as Brisey says there is one at the port and another one just over the bridge on the other side of the harbour at the sea frontage .:)

Stayed at the port aire in October last year - it was not too busy then, quite a large area and handy for walking into town as well as ferry!
Would stay there again.

The old commercial docks, beside the lifting bridge are empty and we have parked up there several times whilst we explored the town. Free of charge.
