    We tried to stop at the first one - Halladale - a couple of years ago but it was full to overflowing with construction workers. But when I asked nicely they let us stay on the pub carpark, which was nice of them. Then in the morning when we set off we realised that just a few yards further on there was a lovely little layby we could have stayed in with no "workers-coming-out-of-the-bar" all night :)

    We have stayed over night on the second one.. But it was on bikes ..
    Fabulous place.. The bunk house is run a bit like a hostel, with decent kitchen facilities, and decent community /tv room too.
    We ( three of us ) actually sneaked in to the tv room and kipped in there for the night.. It was tipping down with rain and the other two were soaked to the skin..
