Occasional Clutch Slip After Remap! (1 Viewer)

Had a remap last year and now get occasional clutch slip. Anyone else had this? Clutch has only done 13000 miles!

remap will not affect clutch but a heavy right foot using the new found power and torque could well show up a clutch that was close to the edge, hee hee. Sounds like time for a new clutch and make sure it is a heavy duty one, after all what's the point of upgrading the engine and not the transmission.

Well, according to our local mechanics, a heavy duty clutch is not available for a 2.3 2006 Ducato!

Hi Dave find out if you garage uses a supplier called "Andrew Pages" its an almost national company
I believe they can offer a lifetime guarantee on LUK clutch kits
had one 3 weeks ago for Pammies Motor, it may not apply to commercial vehicle though, but says a lot about their confidence in materials used

You are not the first person this has happened to and you will not be the last after a remap

Des and Donna had exactly the same.. They have a 57 plate Ci on a Ducato chassis with 12k miles on the clock

After remap if he pushed on the clutch slipped

Our local guy did manage to find an upgrade and fitted it.. That was about 7k miles ago and the issue has not returned

as a carry on from goe,s thread . we used to fit passat gti motors into vwt25 vans . they also could have a super chip fitted . we spoke directly to luk and they advised what clutch they thought would do the job. ended up using a passat turbo diesel clutch pressure plate . instead of the normal pressure plate . worked fine even in my pickup as a breakdown vehicle towing alot. you could try their after sales on 01432 264264 they have just about all the knowledge clutch wise you may ever need. not sure now but a nigel mepham used to be tec service manager.
