if its a FIAT base then i would recommend the Multiecuscan software from Gendan in Swansea.

there is a free version that you can download and play with the buy a license and obd connectors specific to your model year.

On the multiecuscan site there is a list of all modules it can talk to. Not an easy route but the non ducatos have many of the same ecu's, probably not engine for entire range. Agree you should contact Gendan

From an old post by Deneb
I don't think it will. MES is FCA only. Although the Boxer and Relay are the same platform, MES needs to identify the ECU from its Fiat ISO code before it will connect to it, and I believe the ISO codes for the units in the other vans are different.

AlfaOBD on android will connect to all the Sevel X250/X290 vans via bluetooth to an ELM OBD dongle and with the necessary MultiEcuScan adapter cables is just as functional as MES for reading/clearing DTCs, and also has better programming and actuation capabilities.

Does any one with a Boxer or Relay base use Alfaobd?
Or if you are in Northampton PM me and we will have a play.

edit just checked suported cars are Jumper Relay and Boxer

Unless it’s a giveaway price, no thanks.

When my daughters have finished using my RR after their annual Christmas visits fromUAE.

I’m thinking of seeking it. I’ve done about 4,000 miles in just over 4 years.

Try easydiagnostics that’s where I got mine. Trouble is you need to source the boxer adapter from else where. Jim there is very helpful

Not sure which model Boxer you have. I have a Boxer 2001 2.8hdi which has the three pin diagnostic socket. Gendan told me their kit will not connect to my van, to be exact they say they cannot state it will.
I understand there is not much one can diagnose from these early vans. I have been down this route as have an occasional limp mode, can go weeks with out it happening.

I use AlphaOBD on our 2018 boxer based Autosleeper Nuevo, primarily to set the tyre monitor pressures to values appropriate to the weighed axle loadings for which it works very well. Not tried it for engine fault codes however.

For anything Land Rover repeated like Range Rovers, Discovery’s etc there is only one reader/writer and that’s IIDTool by Gap.

Other readers don’t allow writing to CCF files or allow you to change configuration only look at faults etc.

I've used Multiecuscan on my citroen (same as peugeot). It can connect to most of the ECUs, but not the engine. I was able to adjust the TPMS reference pressures (the main thing I wanted it for).

If I need to read an engine code, I'll give alfaOBD a go.
