Northern Spain- August or September??? (1 Viewer)

Hi

I have tried searching for an answer to this question, but most of the previous threads are regarding winter weather-

Having just brought a motorhome I am looking at getting next years holiday booked up ASAP. We are considering a trip to Northern Spain and after reading up as much as I can, the weather on the northern coast can appear to be very changeable.

What would peoples preference be for going- August or September? Would August be uncomfortably hot in the van at night? Would September be to cool? I appreciate that it is how long is a piece of string question, but would ideally like to book a date that we have warm days but comfortable evenings.

There are likely to be another load of silly questions on the way- I am very excited about having the vab and am looking forward to getting out and using it.

We've been in September twice and both times had mostly lovely weather. Towards the end of the month you are more likely to get it wet or cooler. Enjoy it, its a great area.

September.... Great time and usually great weather...

Turn right as you leave "Santander".... and follow the coast road..

Beautiful part of Spain and the least visited... (All the Spanish go down South in the summer.. )..

Sept for us too when the kids have gone back to school.

Definitely September for me. A few years ago we went in May (which I guess is likely to be similar to September) and it was just right for me : low 60's if I remember correctly. I don't like it too hot. It is a wonderful and quiet part of the world. The Picos de Europa mountains, lovely sandy beaches and Santiago de Compostella are great. We were tuggers in those days and found some nice sites.

I do not currently have any fly mesh on the windows- would this likely be a problem? I can try and make some, but suspect it-

a wouldn't look good
