Nor proposing to move any boundaries but it does have the advantage of being in UK so if you didn't do EU wide insurance , my question is asking if there's enough to see in the six counties.
Recommendations please

Does your insurance just cover the UK? It seems a waste to pay for a ferry crossing and not travel throughout the island.

Still dropping clangers and making it up as I go along
In one word absolutely loads to do without crossing over . Careful.mind it's easy to do without realising it on the smaller roads

Having been around the whole of Ireland twice I excluded the EU options at renewal last Augusts a medical pronlem meant that ann wanted to stay within the NHS.
Now shes finished treatment If I now add it back its about £250 and cannot be done prorata, you have to add it for the whole year although we will be in the last quarter.
Had great holiday in scotland last summer and the irish ferry fare is about the same as the insurance.
So wondered if we could get best value by just staying in NI.
I think you do still have third party insurance in the EU if we did stray over the border but no breakdown cover of course.

NI has fabulous scenery and I could spend ages there.
Lots to see and do, but if you could go into RoI so much the better

It depends how long you intend to stay for. Plenty to see and do around the North Coast and the Fermanagh Lakes (Lough Erne).

Probably 3 to 4 weeks.
Last time we were in Ireland campsites seemed expensive but that was pre-covid.
