enough to know i shouldnt touch things i know nothing about ....
Found a great little parkup along the Romantic Road - it's near Kreuzwwertheim, so a twenty min bike ride into Wertheim, the second town along the Romantic Road

Only found it as we were on a little bike ride.

Two really deep bays backing onto the river. I wouldnt suggest longer than one night, but it's free!! I would imagine at weekends and summer it's heaving so might not be available.

We are at a little campsite about 5 mins further on number 625 in ACSI book but bloody €25 even though it says €19 ( though €3 is for a riverside plot, but it's not worth it in my opinion !) but it was an extra €3 for 'rubbish' he said!!

I will be complaining to ACSI !! I know it's only €3 but it's a principle !

Second day along The Romantic Road. It's quite a nice leisurely drive through some small villages and towns all of which have a sprinkling of old buildings.
Yesterday's stop at Wertheim was ok, but I would rather have paid the extra money at the camp site actually in Wertheim itself (caravan and camping club site apparently) so we could have had a real good wander around. As it turned out the bike ride into Wertheim was about 10km away, so nearer an hour for us each way, even on electric bikes, so not really practical!!

We are now at a freebie park up near Tauberrettersheim

No facilities and about 100m from the Romantic Road itself, hoping it's not going to be noisy tonight!

Just enjoyed a beer at the beer garden less than a five minute walk over the bridge into town and if we stay tomorrow we will be having a meal at one of if the local hotels on the photographs.

Our motorhome is parked just over the other side of the river, access via a small bridge.

There are now four motorhomes here.

We are planning a short bike ride into Rottinger tomorrow, only 4.5km, so easily within our capacity. Looks like a nice town, it is supposed to have it's own motorhome parking area, but the locals told us it's now closed and suggested coming here instead!

We both woke up around 0800 after an undisturbed sleep, so we will consider staying here tonight. very little road noise but remember there are no services, so make sure youre ok for water and toiletting!

Another two motorhomes arrived last night, so it must either be a popular free stopover or 'birds of a feather ....lol'
