When in IE (now) go to 'HELP' on the top of the screen & then 'ABOUT INTERNET EXPLORER' it should tell you the version.

Don't laugh too much the next vulnerability will be coming to IE9 very soon :Rofl1:

It would be better to move to an alternate browser such as Firefox or Chrome as they update for security holes much quicker... Microsoft tend to release patches only the second tuesday of the month which can leave you vulnerable for a long time:Angry:

I use firefox because I don't really trust Chrome due to its links with the worlds biggest advertiser (google) privacy issues would always nag at me with Chrome.

I have been very happy with Firefox for many years now.

    Another long time Firefox user..

have tried most at one time or another but always come back to FF

interestingly, these stats (from my blog) show Chrome to be the most popular .. by a big margin ...

    Chrome (55%)

    Firefox (18%)

    Internet Explorer (14%)

    Safari (8%)

    Opera (1%)

    Mobile Safari (<1%)
